Competition time
Friday night at 9pm we loaded the bus to head to Middle Park High School for our 10:20pm performance time. After a packed day of skiing, the kids found the energy to perform a near perfect performance which got a loud applause from the entire audience! They were wonderful! They will have to wait for Saturday night for any results.
Saturday
Today has been a great day with free time for skiing, shopping, hot tub, resting, and relaxing. Everyone had the day to enjoy Winter Park and it's surroundings. Most ventured onto the slopes for another day while others made their way to the top of the mountains by ski lift or SnowCat to take in the spectacular views.
The results are in!
After dinner tonight we loaded the bus to head to downtown Winter Park for the festival street dance and awards ceremony. After dancing "Gangnam Style" the ceremony began. We walked away with the class 4A runner up trophy, a superior performace trophy, and straight ones from the judges! What a great way to end a wonderful trip.
Time to head home
Tomorrow morning at 8 am we load the bus and set out for home. It has been a wonderful trip with awesome students and parents. We are leaving Colorado after a few minor injuries but a lot of fun and great memories. Stay tuned for more pictures when we return! We will see you back in Springfield!
